Thanksgiving party and Feast of Favorites

We had a good day before Thanksgiving at preschool. We played turkey games, sang songs, cooked turkey's in the water table, drew and talked about being thankful for our families and other things, created an Indian and Pilgrim Thanksgiving village, and dressed like Indians for our Feast of Favorites!

no, they are not yawning...they are being Indians-

Pilgrims and Indians

This week we made Indian necklaces, Indian vests, and Indian head dresses. We learned about the first Thanksgiving and made turkeys out of hands and finger painted corn. We learned the letter I, the color pink, and practiced beginning sounds of all the letters.

Leaves

We had a fun week (and a day) full of leaves. We made Thanksgiving placemats, leaf peaple, leaf tracing, found thing starting with L and S in the table full of leaves, we played scarcrow bingo, and made a book about scarecrow colors, and painted with shaving cream.

Our afternoon class celebrated two birthdays-

using numbers 1, 2, 3-
mixing their own color combinations-

Afternoon Halloween Party

The Halloween party was a blast. The kids were super cute and they got to decorate cupcakes, make trick-or-treat bags, play Halloween bingo, and graph M&M's. We played Don't eat Pete and, build a skeleton, sang lots of Halloween songs, and had bubbling witches brew, Carmel apple, witches broomsticks, and cheese for snack.
Thank you to all the parents who came and helped and who brought food and other things!
